Langmin
Langmin Terms of Use
Langmin is a macOS writing and language assistant published by Ilia Ross ("we"). By installing or using the App Store version of Langmin you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs every app distributed through the App Store. Where the two differ, Apple's agreement prevails for matters it covers.
The free app and the trial
The 30-day trial begins after you accept its notice at first launch and includes full access. No subscription starts and nothing is charged. After the trial, text generation with Apple Intelligence, Apple voices, Apple audio transcription, text editing, and the local Library remain free. They run on your Mac and need no account.
Langmin Pro
Langmin Pro unlocks cloud models and custom endpoints, web research, Library folders and iCloud sync, cloud voices, OpenAI illustrations, and OpenAI audio transcription. It is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase in two forms:
- Yearly subscription. Billed to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically each year at the price shown at purchase unless you cancel it in your App Store settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Lifetime unlock. A one-time purchase that keeps Pro features for the life of the app on the App Store.
Both can be shared with your family through Family Sharing where it is enabled. Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency before you buy. Purchases, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple Media Services Terms; we cannot issue refunds ourselves.
If a subscription lapses, Langmin returns to the free features. Everything you saved in the Library stays readable and exportable.
Third-party AI providers
Cloud features use your own account and API key with the provider you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, or a custom endpoint you configure). Your use of a provider is governed by that provider's terms, and its costs are billed by the provider, not by us. We do not control provider availability, pricing, or the content they generate, and generated text may be inaccurate; review it before relying on it.
Acceptable use
Use Langmin lawfully and only with text you are entitled to process. Do not attempt to circumvent purchases, reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or use it to violate a provider's terms.
Source code
Langmin's source is published on GitHub under the PolyForm Strict License 1.0.0 with added permissions for personal modification and contributions. You may read and inspect it, and prepare a contribution to the official repository under its contribution terms. The license does not otherwise permit distributing the source, modified copies, or binaries. The Min Tools name, the Langmin name, and the Langmin icon are not licensed with the source.
Warranty and liability
Langmin is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from third-party providers or from generated content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Material changes to Langmin Pro are announced in the app before they take effect.
