Everything you copied
Copy as usual. Find it later.
Pastemin watches the clipboard while it runs and keeps what you copy in its own sandboxed folder. When you need something back, one shortcut opens the history, and Return puts it on the clipboard again.
Find an earlier copy in seconds
Press ⌃⌥C, start typing, and search the complete text of your clipboard history. Results update while you type, and the newest copies come first.
Text and images together
Preview copied text at full length and inspect images without opening another app. Each item shows the app it came from and when.
Made for the keyboard
Move with the arrow keys, press Return to restore an item, delete one with ⌘⌫, and dismiss with Escape. The search field is ready the moment the panel opens.
Optional automatic paste
Pastemin can send one ⌘V after you choose an item. It is off by default and works only after you turn it on and grant macOS permission. It never reads your keystrokes.
Your history stays on this Mac
Clipboard content lives inside Pastemin's sandbox. There is no Pastemin account, no analytics, no advertising, and no developer server.
You decide what remains
Keep copied items for an hour, a day, a week, a month, three months, or forever. Clear one item, the current clipboard, or the whole history whenever you want.
Sensitive items are respected
Pastemin skips entries marked concealed, temporary, or automatically generated. Password managers use these markers to keep sensitive items out of clipboard history.

Use the menu bar, choose your own global shortcut, and work in any of thirty-one interface languages. Native AppKit and SwiftUI, on Apple silicon.
Fast with a long history
Large text and image payloads load only when needed, so a long history does not have to enter memory at launch. The list renders in batches as you scroll.
Find and restore
Type a word. Press Return.
Start typing in the search field to find matches in the full text of your accessible history. Choose an item to copy it again and return to the app you were using.
Full-text search
Search the full text of accessible items, including long notes. After the trial, the free tier searches the five newest items.
Back to the top
Restoring an older item copies it again and moves it to the top of the history.
Copy only, or paste too
By default the item is copied and you paste it yourself. With automatic paste on and allowed, Pastemin pastes it for you.
Your clipboard, your rules
Keep it for an hour, or for good.
Choose how long copied items remain, whether Pastemin sits in the menu bar, and which shortcut opens it. Expired items and their stored files are removed automatically.
Retention you set
One hour, one day, one week, one month, three months, or forever. Change it any time; the history follows.
Clear what you want
Delete one item with ⌘⌫, clear the current clipboard, or clear the whole history. Clearing history leaves what other apps still hold untouched.
See where it lives
The storage summary shows how much space the history uses, and Show in Finder opens its local folder.
Private by design
Your clipboard history stays on your Mac.
Pastemin stores clipboard history only in its sandboxed Application Support folder. Clipboard content is never uploaded. The only network traffic is Apple's own StoreKit, for product and purchase information.
Marked items are never stored
Pastemin skips items marked concealed, transient, or automatically generated. It cannot detect sensitive content that an app copies without those markers.
Permission only when you ask for it
When you enable automatic paste and select an item, Pastemin asks for permission to send the paste keystroke. If you decline, the item is still copied. You can revoke access in System Settings.
No usage tracking
No account, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking SDKs, and no iCloud sync of your history. Apple handles purchases and never shares payment details with the developer.

The trial begins after you accept its notice at first launch. It needs no card or additional account, starts no subscription, and charges nothing. Trial timing stays on your Mac.
US base prices are shown in USD. Apple converts prices for other App Store regions and handles purchases, renewals, and refunds. Lifetime purchases do not appear in Apple's subscription settings.

Requirements
An Apple-silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later. Normal copy and paste needs no Accessibility access. Optional automatic paste asks for permission to send the paste keystroke.

The setup assistant sets retention, the menu bar, and the shortcut, explains automatic paste, and spells out the 30-day trial before you start.
Menu bar app
Pastemin runs in the menu bar without a Dock icon. Quit it to stop clipboard monitoring.
Automatic paste, explained
With permission, Pastemin uses macOS's public event-posting APIs to send one ⌘V after you choose an item. It does not inspect other apps' interfaces or watch the keyboard.
Sandboxed
Pastemin runs in the App Sandbox and stores history in its own container. It collects no analytics and sends no clipboard content to the developer.
Thirty-one languages
The interface is localized into thirty-one languages and follows your Mac's appearance, contrast, and accent settings.

The source is on GitHub under the PolyForm Strict License 1.0.0 with added permissions. You can inspect how Pastemin handles your clipboard.
Duplicates and limits
Copying an item again moves it to the top without creating a duplicate. Long items load their full text when you view or search them.
